Bagirov Sahin Soltan Oglu

He was born on January 12, 1965 in Baku.

Graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Voronezh State University in 1986 within the framework of the education program outside the Republic.

In 2004, he graduated from the post-graduate studies of the same academy and obtained the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. He started working in the Agrarian Industrial Complex system in the Republic of Azerbaijan on the basis of his job assignment according to his specialty. Since 1992, he started working as an inspector in the customs system, worked in various positions in the customs system and rose to the position of deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee.

He served as the deputy chairman of the working group of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on customs issues related to transport, as the chairman of the Administrative Committee of the United Nations Customs Convention on the International Carriage of Goods, as well as as the chairman of the Administrative Committee of the International Convention on the Harmonization of Conditions for Cargo Control at Borders (1982).

In 2019-2022, he worked in the State Service for Real Estate Affairs under the Ministry of Taxes and the Ministry of Economy. On February 3, 2014, he was given the rank of customs service lieutenant general by the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2010, he was awarded the "Distinction in Public Service" medal by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for his services in protecting Azerbaijan's economic interests and effective activities in the customs authorities. In 2012, in 2012, he was awarded the 2nd degree "For service to the country" order for his effective work in the civil service in Azerbaijan.

On February 14, 2023, he was appointed the chairman of the State Customs Committee by the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. On April 11, 2023, he was elected the president of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation public union.
